This Privacy Policy explains how Docufiy Scan handles information when you use the Docufiy Scan Android app. Docufiy Scan is part of the Docufiy product family and helps users capture, enhance, save, and share documents as PDF, JPG, or PNG files.

Information We Collect
Docufiy Scan does not require an account and does not ask you to provide personal information such as your name, email address, phone number, or location.
The app processes documents, images, and recognized text only for the features you choose to use, such as scanning, image enhancement, OCR, exporting, saving, opening, or sharing files.
Camera, Documents, and Images
Docufiy Scan uses document scanning features to capture documents with your device camera or selected images. Scanned pages may contain personal or sensitive information depending on what you choose to scan. These documents are processed on your device for scanning, cropping, enhancement, OCR, and export.
Local Storage
Exported files are saved on your device only when you choose to save them. Temporary files may be stored in the app cache while you are editing or exporting scanned pages. These temporary files are used to make the app work correctly and may be removed by the app or the Android system.
OCR and Text Recognition
If you enable searchable PDF or OCR features, Docufiy Scan extracts text from scanned pages so the exported PDF can be searchable or selectable. This processing is used only to provide the selected app feature.
Third-Party SDKs
Docufiy Scan uses Google ML Kit, Google Play services components, AndroidX libraries, OpenCV, Coil, Hilt, Kotlin, and Jetpack Compose to provide scanning, OCR, app functionality, and performance features. These SDKs may process technical information needed to provide their services, such as app/device diagnostics or service availability.
Internet Access
The app includes Google Play services and ML Kit components that may add internet-related permissions. Docufiy Scan does not upload your scanned documents to a Docufiy server. Links such as Privacy Policy, Terms, or Website may open in your browser when you choose to open them.
Sharing Files
When you use the share feature, Android shows a share sheet and you choose the destination app or service. Once you share a file with another app or service, that app or service handles the file according to its own privacy policy.
Ads, Payments, and Accounts
Docufiy Scan currently does not contain ads, does not offer in-app purchases, and does not allow users to create an account. If these features are added in the future, this Privacy Policy and the Google Play Data Safety information will be updated before release.
Children's Privacy
Docufiy Scan is intended as a general document scanning utility and is not directed specifically to children. The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Data Security
Docufiy Scan is designed to keep scanned documents on your device unless you choose to save, open, or share them. You are responsible for the files you scan and where you choose to store or share them.
Other Docufiy Products
This website may also describe other Docufiy products such as Docufiy Lite, Docufiy Pro, BillSnap. Their features and data handling may differ from Docufiy Scan, especially if a feature clearly uses a server for document conversion.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the app changes or when legal, platform, or Google Play requirements change. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
